Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the Ag-Ni contact material improved in welding resistance while maintaining good workability and wear resistance.
CONSTITUTION: This contact material is constituted by dispersing 5 to 40wt.% Ni into an Ag base and dispersing at least a part of either of Fe and Co in the form of an oxide therein. The content of at least one of such Fe and Co is 1 to 5wt.% when the oxide is converted to the metal. The content of the above-mentioned oxide is ≥0.2wt.% in terms of the metal.
