PURPOSE: To enhance productivity without utilizing the technique of molding with high accuracy by curving the contact portion of a rectilinear terminal inside a connector by means of a pushing force within the elastic limit of the terminal so as to constitute the connector.

CONSTITUTION: A channel 13c taking the form of a right-angled triangle is formed near each side of the through channel 13a of an insulator 13 with the slope of the channel 13c outside. Square holes 13e into each of which a jack terminal 12 is pressed and fixed at its protrusion 13b are formed at a fixed pitch in the longitudinal direction of the insulator 13 and on a line corresponding to the channel 13c of the bottom side 13d of the insulator 13. When the rectilinear jack terminal 12 is inserted from its end portion 12a into each of the square holes 13e of an insulator main body 13-1 from outside the hole 13e, the end portion 12a makes contact with the slope of the channel 13c near a portion at which the protrusion 12b of the terminal 12 reaches the square hole 13c. The terminal 12 is pushed into each of the holes 13e and then the contact 12c of the terminal 12 is curved toward the through channel 13a and also the terminal 12 is fixed at its protrusion 12b to the insulator main body 13-1.
