To simply manufacture a contact member by molding a coil-like conductive elastic member on a nonconductive base member, cutting the elastic member at the prescribed position, and properly drifting the positions of the corresponding cut terminals.

Part of a coil-like conductive elastic member 1 is molded on a nonconductive base member 2 as shown by a dotted line. The elastic member 1 is cut off at prescribed positions 3, the cut elastic members 1 on one side are linearly extended to the front of the base member 2 at the cut positions 3 to form multiple terminals 4, and multiple contact sections 6 to be kept in contact with contact terminals of an IC card side are formed on the other side. The contact sections 6 are arranged at the optional positions apart from the vertical line of the corresponding terminals 4 by (d) at the maximum. This contact member 10 can be simply manufactured, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
