A contact pressure detection device has a substrate with an arbitrary three dimensional shape and more than three pressure sensitive sensors arranged for each region dividing at least one area on the surface of the substrate and provided on different top position of a polygon object with more than three corners of the substrate and a plurality of plates provided to cover the surface of the substrate sandwiching the three or more pressure sensitive sensors in accordance with each region of the substrate. The pressure and the pressure position of the plate corresponding to the region are calculated based on the detection results of the three or more pressure sensitive sensors provided for each region.
