Abstract:
To provide a contact shoe for an electric furnace capable of suppressing abnormal discharge between the contact shoe for an electric furnace and an electrode.SOLUTION: An internal surface 11S of a contact shoe 11 comprises a plurality of contact surfaces 11SC pressed against an electrode. Each contact surface 11SC is separated by a lateral groove 11SH elongating along the circumferential direction of the electrode and a vertical groove 11SV elongating along a direction parallel to the central axis A of the electrode from the other contact surfaces 11SC. In groove side surfaces partitioning the lateral groove 11SH, a lower groove side surface 11SHL located in the lower side is a tapered surface tilted from the bottom surface of the lateral groove 11SH toward diagonally downward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
