To more accurately detect foreign objects in contactless charging.
A contactless charging device includes: a power receiving coil 4 embedded in a battery built-in apparatus 2 mounted on a charging table; a power transmitting coil 3 embedded in the charging table that can be electromagnetically coupled; first temperature detecting means 30 for detecting temperatures, disposed in the vicinity of the power transmitting coil 3; and foreign object detecting means 12 determining whether foreign objects FO are mounted on the charging table on the basis of a time change of temperature information having been detected with a predetermined time interval by means of the first temperature detecting means 30. With the constitution, heat generation in the normal operation of the power transmitting coil 3 and heat generation when the foreign objects FO are inserted can be discriminated not by mere temperature detection but on the basis of a gradient of temperature rising, so that foreign objects can be accurately detected, even specifically in a high-output contactless charging device.
