Abstract:
To provide a contactless information carrier which can be produced at a low cost and excels in its strength and flatness and also to provide a method which can produce the information carrier with high efficiency.
A flexible IC module 1 consists of the IC chips 51 and 52 which are embedded into a flexible substrate 53 that has a prescribed shape and a prescribed size, has its compressibility and self-pressure contact property in its thickness direction and also has resin-impregnation property. Then the module 1 is cased with a core sheet 2 which is made of the polyethylene terephthalate resin that does not undergo the drawing processing yet. The outer surface of the sheet 2 can be covered with a cover sheet directly or via a binder layer.
