Abstract:
Provided is a noncontact power supply system wherein the presence of foreign matter is not easily overlooked. A detection unit (5) detects the presence of foreign matter in a detection space on the basis of the output from sensors. The sensors detect incident light from the detection space through a window member. A light-receiving element (6) is arranged opposing the detection space, with the window member therebetween, and receives incident light from the detection space through the window member. A determination unit determines whether the window member is contaminated on the basis of the light reception intensity in the light-receiving element (6), and determines that there is contamination when the light reception intensity in the light-receiving element (6) is lower than a threshold value. On the basis of the determination result from the determination unit, a control unit controls a power supply unit such that the power supply unit does not supply power when the determination unit has determined that there is contamination.
