To facilitate both tablet metering and tablet dispensing operations at a tablet dispensing container and the like constructed such that a circumferential wall of a plug having a rear part of a bottom wall opened is fitted into an opening neck part of the container, a cap is fitted to the opening neck part of the container, tablets or the like stored in the container are put into a metering chamber formed by the bottom wall of the plug and a cap top wall through the opening, then the container is returned back to its upright state to meter the content, the metered tablets or the like are taken out of the opening neck by removing the cap.

A guide plate 17 having substantially the same width as an entire length of a rear edge of a bottom wall 14 of a plug 11 is suspended from the rear edge.
