PURPOSE: To prevent the intrusion of metal into the content of a container, discoloring of the content and adhesion of the metal odor thereto, by coating the metal portion of a can in a position likely to come in contact with the content in the container with a metal ion capturing film which is capable of permeating oxygen and water and capturing the metal ions.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of a metal can, metal base exposed portions 1 on the inner surface of the can wall may be coated with a metal ion capturing film 2 by means of thermal bonding or spraying or bonding through an adhesive agent layer 3 to the base metal 1. The adhesive agent layer 3 are selected from the materials capable of permeating oxygen, water and metal ions. In a case where the metal ion capturing film 2 consists of chitosan, the metal ion capturing film 2 which is first laminated with a reinforcement film 4 consisting of the materials such as resins capable of permeating oxygen, water and metal ions are adhered to the base metal 1 to provide a reinforced strength of the formation. The dissolved oxygen and water in the content of the container permeate the metal ion capturing film 2 into contact with the metal to bring about deoxygenating reaction, whereby the formed metal ions are captured by the metal ion capturing film 2 and their migration to the content can be prevented.
