To provide a large-sized container made of a synthetic resin which is excellent in strength and durability by using comparatively small-scale equipment, and to provide its manufacturing method.
This container made of the synthetic resin is constituted by facing two pieces of a synthetic resin made half section 10 formed by integrating a curved section 11, a flat surface section 12, and a flange section 13 provided on peripheral edges of the curved section and the flat surface section with each other and welding the flange section 13. In this case, the curved section 11 has a shape for which the bottle-like body equipped with a mouth section on the upper side, and at the same time, has a housing space inside is equally vertically bisected. The flat surface section 12 becomes the bottom of the bottle-like body. The half section 10 made of the synthetic resin is a molded article by blow-molding process. The half section 10 made of the synthetic resin is equipped with an external layer and an internal layer, and at the same time, is a hollow structure having a gap between the external layer and the internal layer. On the external layer, a plurality of lateral ribs 19 which protrude to the internal layer side are formed, and on the internal layer, a plurality of vertical ribs 20 which protrude to the external layer side are formed. The lateral ribs 19 and the vertical ribs 20 are welded at crossing sections.
