Abstract:
To provide a container having a heat insulating property and useful for environmental protection, and a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A container 1 is mainly composed of a bottom portion 2, and a side wall portion 3 connected to a peripheral edge of the bottom portion 2 and extending upward. The side wall portion 3 is composed of: a base layer 10 made of paper; a first layer 11 constituting a foamed layer, laminated on an outer side of the base layer 10, made of a biodegradable first resin which is foamed, and being substantially free of a foaming agent; and a second layer 12 constituting a non-foamed layer, laminated on an inner side of the base layer 10, and made of a biodegradable second resin. The container thus configured is convenient as it can be easily held even when a temperature of the contents is high, and is useful for environmental protection, because the container has an excellent heat insulating property and the side wall portion of the container is biodegradable.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
