PURPOSE: To speedily and easily remove a slag deposition generated by arranging a lining of a graphite or a graphite/alumina mixture to an opening part for probe of a container so as to minimize deposition to an opening part.
CONSTITUTION: An opening part 1 for probe, which passes a wall part 2 near a mouth part 4 of a container 3 for metallurgy of a converter, etc., is provided. A semipermanent lining 6 is arranged inside an outer plate 5 of the wall part 2 and is covered with a refractory lining 7. A socket 12 having a front part 13 protruding in a flange shape into an opening part region is welded to the outer plate 2 of the container 3. A tube 14 made of graphite or graphite/alumina is arranged in the socket 12. The tube 14 is supported on a shoulder part 17 of a lining brick 9 of the container 3, and a refractory filling material 18 is encircled around the tube 14. A slag is hardly struck on graphite, and the stuck slag deposition is easily removed by a manual scraper.
