An article 11 and a desiccant 12 are stored in a sealing container 2 equipped on a container 1. Ions generated in an ion generating portion 3 are added to internal air of the sealing container 2. Moisture included in the internal air is adhered to the ions. The desiccant 12 adsorbs the moisture included in the internal air. Consequently, the humidity of the inside of the sealing container 2 is lowered, so that the evaporation of the moisture from the article 11 is promoted. The ions collide with a surface of the article 11. At that time, the action of water molecules on the article 11 surface are activated, so that the moisture is easily evaporated from the article 11 surface. Furthermore, when the moisture is evaporated from the article 11 surface, the moisture moves from the article 11 inside to the article 11 surface. Consequently, the article 11 can be preserved in a dry state.
