To eliminate the problems of conventional pickles-producing containers which are mostly produced from plastics and can not avoid the elution of fine amounts of chemical substances that are mixed with the pickles and affect human bodies.

This container for producing pickles is obtained by forming raw material potter's clay comprising 20 to 50 wt.% of tourmaline ground powder and 50 to 80 wt.% of reducing clay in a tub like shape and then reducing and sintering the formed product at a temperature of from 1,000 to 1,300°C.
