Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent incident light such as the sunlight to directly impinge on a magnetic tape cassette and to see through the kind or index of the cassette, by covering the transparent window of the cassette and the door of a receiving part with polarizing members whose polarizing axes mutually cross at a right angle. CONSTITUTION:A cassette receiving plastic case 1 is constituted of a receiving part 2 formed by molding a transparent synthetic resin and a door 3, and polarizing plates are mounted to the bottom surface parts or side surface parts of the door 3 and receiving part 2. Transparent windows 7 composed of a transparent synthetic resin are formed to the almost central parts of the halves 5, 6 of a cassette 4 and the residual amount of a magnetic tape at the hub thereof can be seen through the transparent windows 7. A polarizing plate is also mounted to each of the transparent windows 7. The polarizing plate of the door 3 and that of each of the transparent windows 7 are arranged so that the polarizing axes thereof cross each other at a right angle. The light emitted from the door does not impinge on the magnetic tape in the cassette and the kind or index of the cassette can be seen.
