Title:
CONTAINER FOR RECEIVING PLANT WITH ROOT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61219317
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
The novel container can be used for hydroponics or plants in earth. In the case of one of its embodiments, a container shell (12), reinforced by a bead (42) and terminated at the bottom by a base (32), is surrounded by at least one sheet-metal strip (52,52'), which runs around at a distance from it and may exhibit a pattern, for example of holes. Depending on the season, cut flowers, sprigs of fir or the like can be inserted between the sheet-metal strip and the container shell, which, just as the breaking up of the form by the sheet-metal strip, additionally offsets the plain effect of a simple container and offers variation. A saucer underneath the container can supply the cut flowers with water, but of course also receive earth for permanent planting. Instead of this, the intermediate space between the container shell and the sheet-metal strip can also be provided for receiving a fluorescent tube or string of filament lamps, which illuminates from below the protruding parts of the plants rooted in the container, or be supplemented by a fluorescent tube within the rim of the container shell.
