To provide a container stacking method capable of stacking containers on many stages only by a container vehicle and stacking them on the container vehicle.

The container stacking method comprises a first loading process of engaging a hook part 50 of a loading/unloading device 44 with a hooking tool 31 of a container 6 positioned on the upper stage in stacking and of pulling and loading the container 6 on a deck 27 of the container vehicle 8. The stacking method also comprises a stacking process of stacking the container 6 loaded on the deck 27 while sliding it from the deck 27 along the upper surface of a container 7 using the loading/unloading device 44. The stacking method also comprises a fixing process of fixing a stacked container 55 including the container 6 and the container 7 stacked by the stacking process with a band member 51 and keeping the staked state, and a second loading process of engaging the hook part 50 of the loading/unloading device 44 with the hooking tool 31 of the container 7 and pulling and loading the stacked container 55 on the deck 27 of the container vehicle 8.
