To provide a container for supplying molten metal, which container can surely move a receiving pan for receiving the molten metal spilled from an opening of piping to an appropriate position in good timing.
The container comprises a valve component 65 which is turned by manually turning an operating lever 66, and a three-way valve 60 which can be changed over to a first mode for causing a gas flow between a first valve port 62 and a third valve port 64 and to a second mode for causing the gas flow between the first valve port 62 and a second valve port 63 according to the turned position of the valve component 65. The operating lever 66 is connected to one end of a wire 44, the other end of which is connected to a holding member 42 holding the receiving pan 40. The receiving pan 40 is moved between a first position below a delivery port 31 of the piping 4 and a second position receded from below the delivery port 31 by turning the holding member 42 through turning the operating lever 66.
