To provide a container terminal gate reception system to achieve the reduction of an economical burden, the stability of future availability, and the efficiency of a cargo handling work.
A container terminal gate reception system comprises: a general purpose communication apparatus 12 for performing information communications by using a short-distance communication function; a gate terminal 32 provided at an entrance/exit gate 44 of a container terminal 42 so as to perform short-distance communications with the general purpose communication apparatus 12 thereby to read and transmit data; and storage means for storing a user ID preliminarily input via the general purpose communication apparatus 12, reception information related to the user ID and destination information of a trailer 50. The system includes a container management device 24 which reads the reception information from the storage means on the basis of the read user ID of the general purpose communication apparatus 12 read by the gate terminal 32, collates the registered reception information with the user ID read by the gate terminal 32, determines the propriety of performing a loading and unloading operation of the container, and outputs the determination result and the destination information of the trailer 50 to the gate terminal 32.
