To provide a reception system of a container terminal capable of simply determining whether a driver of an external chassis coming to the container terminal can enter the terminal or not without making the entrance procedures troublesome and changing existing facility.

When the driver of the external chassis coming to the container terminal presents a gate reception device 14 with a recording medium carried by himself/herself, the driver's certification order is given to a checker P standing by at a gate 10 through a handy terminal owned by the checker P so that any checker P performs certification work by confirming driver's ID card and driving license. Upon completion of the certification work, the checker informs the driver of the completion through his/her handy terminal to take the procedures for accepting loading and unloading work by the gate reception device 14.
