To provide a container for transporting molten metal which can prevent the leakage of pressurized air even if cracking occurs in a refractory material layer.
The container for transporting the molten metal is provided with a container body having a pouring port for drawing-in the molten metal, a molten metal pouring pipe connected to the pouring port for drawing-in the molten metal, and a compressed air introducing part for introducing the compressed air into the container body. The container for transporting the molten metal is so constituted that the molten metal in the container body is pressurized with the compressed air and extracted from the molten metal pouring port at the tip of the molten metal pouring pipe. The molten metal pouring pipe is provided with an outer pipe, a refractory tube formed by the refractory material, and the refractory material layer formed between the outer pipe and the refractory tube. The refractory tube is arranged so as to be extended over the tip part of the molten metal pouring port of the molten metal pouring pipe from the base end part of the molten metal pouring port of the container body.
