Abstract:
To provide a conveyable container-type coffin laying apparatus comprising a facility for keeping, at a fixed temperature, an inner part for temporarily storing/preserving a number of coffins that each stores a dead body, in an arbitrary time zone in a period until a cremation after a funeral or a period until transfer to a crematory after the funeral.SOLUTION: An container-type coffin laying apparatus 1 includes: an inner part in which a plurality of stages of coffin storage shelves 2 on which many coffins P are to be arranged and placed are provided; and an elevating mechanism 3 for moving up and down while having a coffin P placed thereon at a middle part that divides each of middles of the plurality of stages of coffin storage shelves 2 into right and left halves. Transport mechanisms 4 for enabling a coffin P placed on the elevating mechanism 3 to be stored in a right or left half of any of the respective stages of coffin storage shelves 2 are provided on the coffin storage shelves 2 and the elevating mechanism 3. An outer wall is made to comprise an opening/closing door 5 at the most lowered position of the elevating mechanism 3. On each stage of the coffin storage shelves 2 is provided a permanent vacant space S. In the case of taking out a target coffin P, the elevating mechanism 3 is interlocked with a transport mechanism 4 to move and save a coffin P other than the target coffin to a vacant space S. Thereby, only the target coffin P is enabled to be taken out from the opening/closing door 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
