PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container type water automatic vending machine and a control method therefor, maintaining hygiene by discharging water staying inside the machine in each sale.
SOLUTION: This vending machine has pumps SP, PP; plural opening/closing valves SV1-SV8; and a CPU 1 that is a control means controlling the pumps SP, PP and the respective opening/closing valves SV2-SV8 at prescribed timing in each the sale such that the staying water inside a flow passage is discharged.
