This washing and sterilizing equipment for washing and sterilizing the inside of a container A by injecting washing and sterilizing water into the container A through a nozzle 12 which is provided at a water conveyance pipe 10, has a water-supply valve 14, which opens and shuts the water conveyance pipe 10, and a control means 15 which opens and shuts the water-supply valve 14 intermittently. By opening and shutting the water-supply valve 14 intermittently, the washing and sterilizing water is injected into the container A intermittently. Through this intermittent spray of the washing and sterilizing water, the washing and sterilizing water injected forward and backward collide with each other in the container A to generate a turbulent flow, and the container A is washed and sterilized surely.
