Abstract:

To improve working efficiency by preventing collision among containers, cranes and workers, in regard to a container yard monitoring method.

A plurality of CCD cameras 11 arranged inside a container yard take a view of shape of the containers in the long side direction and the short side direction thereof. Condition over the whole area inside the container yard is grasped by synthesizing information from each of the cameras 11, and an image processing device 16 automatically recognizes position of the containers and the cranes and loading quantity thereof on the basis of the information input to each of the camera 11.
