To provide a container capable of reliably suppressing coming-off of a lid from a container body even during the distribution/conveyance.
A container includes a container body made of foamable synthetic resin and a lid. The container body and the lid are freely attached to and detached from each other at a fitting part and a fitted part that are fitted in a freely removable manner in the height direction of side wall. One of the fitting part and the fitted part is a protrusion 5 for fitting, and the other is a recess 6 for fitting. One of the fitting part and the fitted part is formed over the whole circumference of the edge in the height direction of the side wall, and the other of the fitting part and the fitted part is formed at a position corresponding to the one of the fitting part and the fitted part in the side wall in the reverse-side outer circumferential edge of the lid. The protrusion 5 for fitting includes a large width part disposed in the middle part in the height direction and small width parts disposed on both sides in the height direction for the large width part. The recess 6 for fitting is formed in a shape relative to the cross-section of the protrusion 5 for fitting so as to be fitted to the large width part and each of the small width parts.
