Abstract:

To provide a contaminant removing apparatus capable of peeling off contaminants without severely damaging a contaminated surface.

A blast booth 3, a spray gun 24, a suction port 4, etc. are moved by every fixed time or continuously by a vehicle 100 or an operator, dry ice powder DP is sprayed from the spray gun 24 together with compressed air to perform a decontamination work of the paved surface PS of asphalt 102. Radioactive matter peeled off from the paved surface PS by the decontamination work is sucked from the suction port 4 via a hose 6 into a capturing device 5, and ejected to the atmosphere after being purified via an HEPA filter 72a, an active carbon layer 72b and a zeolite layer 72c. A negative pressure pump 8 is driven so as to maintain negative pressure inside the blast booth 3 in decontamination to be in a fixed range, and suction of radioactive matter from the suction port 4 is performed stably.
