Abstract:

To provide a contaminated soil cleaning method with which contaminated soil present on the lower side than the level of underground water can be cleaned and, moreover, which does not need the use of a heavy machine upon digging.

The contaminated soil cleaning method includes: a process of reclaiming a region solidified to surround a soil-contaminated area (Ewp) lower than the groundwater level (Lw), and thereafter, digging a shaft (40) into a region (Ep) including a soil-contaminated area (Gp) upper than the groundwater level (Lw) by a prescribed depth (from the ground surface 30f); and a metal frame installing process of installing a metal frame (2) to the dug shaft (40). In the contaminated soil cleaning method, the digging process and the metal frame installing process are repeated until the whole region surrounded by the solidified region is dug to install the metal frame.
