Abstract:
To provide a contamination detector and a method thereof capable of discriminating surface contamination from internal contamination while precisely evaluating the surface contamination in a place where surface contamination and internal contamination coexist.SOLUTION: The contamination detector includes: a radiation measuring unit 101 including an alpha ray detector, a beta ray detector, and gamma-ray detector; and a surface contamination evaluation unit 102 that has either or both of a function to evaluate the alpha ray surface contamination from the non-coincidence counting of alpha rays measured by the alpha ray detector and gamma-rays measured by the gamma-ray detector and each peak value, and a function to evaluate the beta ray surface contamination from the beta rays measured by the beta ray detector, the coincidence counting of the gamma-ray, and each peak value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
