To provide a method and a system for providing network-type character content, which allow a user to collect and select useful information by "user's intuition".

The method and the system for providing the network-type character content comprise: a character content disclosing step which discloses an entire character content of a magazine, a book, or a newspaper to the user via a communication network free of charge or with predetermined time charge, where a plurality of character content blocks are coupled into the entire character content; a block selection step in which the user makes a survey of the disclosed character content and selects one or more of the character content blocks desired by the user oneself; a block providing step or a block selling step which provides or sells an access right or data of the block selected by the user; and a payment step in which the user pays the charge of the block provided or sold to the user at the same time as, in front of, or behind the block providing step or the block selling step.
