Abstract:

To ensure that equipment sending and receiving content data for copyright protection can be identified.

This content sending/receiving system includes a local-area wireless network 2 to which a content sending device (source device) 1 with the function of reproducing the contents of a DVD player or the like and the function of delivering the contents belongs; and a local-area wireless network 5 to which content receiving devices (sink devices) 3, 4 receiving the contents belong. A combined ID obtained by combining the device ID of each sink device with a MAC address is registered in an ID management part of the source device, and the contents requested to be sent are sent from the source device to the sink devices only when the combined ID of the sink device requesting the sending of the contents matches the one registered in the ID management part. Thus, the copyright of the contents is protected to prevent illicit use of the contents.
