To provide a contents supply system that can supply contents to a person for personal use, while limiting the amount of use of contents.

When a user terminal 2 transmits data to specify a user to a server 1, the server 1 stores a user ID to a logical position whose contents are analyzed illegally by an operation of an operator. When the user terminal 2 transmits an image ID of a purchased image and data denoting number of purchased images to the server 1, the user transmits the user ID to the server 1, and the server 1 encrypts image data by the user ID and transmits the encrypted data to the user terminal 2. When the server 1 confirms the reception of the image data and the supply of decision data, the server 1 transmits license data to the user terminal 2. The user terminal 2 updates a use right database, so as to provide the use right of the received image data to the user. Thus, the use can browse the image and allows a printer 3, to also print out the image within a range of number of the purchased images.
