Abstract:
To provide a context processor that allows faster context switching while eliminating the need to add a hardware configuration.
The context processor having a processor 1 provided with a group of registers for storing contexts associated with the execution of instructions and an external memory 119 accessible by the processor 1 is provided with a context cache 105 comprised of registers for saving the contexts, and a bus 121 for allowing the context cache 105 and the external memory 119 to transfer data to each other without the intervention of access by the processor 1 to the external memory 119.
