Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide different combinations between volume data and sub-volume data for anatomy detection and display which provide favorable imaging while allowing regular detection of the anatomy.SOLUTION: A method of enhanced ultrasound imaging of a sub-volume comprises: scanning (36), with an ultrasound imaging system, a volume of a patient with different values for scan settings for the sub-volume of the volume than for other parts of the volume; tracking (40), by a processor, a position within the volume of anatomy, the tracking using data resulting from the scanning (36); altering (34), by the processor, a location of the sub-volume within the volume on the basis of the tracking (40) so that the anatomy is in the sub-volume; repeating the scanning (36) with the altered location; and generating (42) first and second images in sequence from the data of the scanning (36) and repetition of the scanning (36), respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
