Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a continuous carbon fiber bundle package which is excellent at being stored in a container and has excellent handling properties when a continuous carbon fiber bundle is withdrawn from the container. To such end, provided is a continuous carbon fiber bundle package in which a continuous fiber bundle having a density of 1.5-2.0 g/cm3, a single filament diameter of at least 4.0 μm, a total fineness of at least 2000 dtex, and a drape value at 25°C of at least 2.0 cm is stored in a container, wherein: when one end of said continuous carbon fiber bundle is configured as a fixed end, and the other is configured as a free end, a twist count persisting in the continuous carbon fiber bundle is at least 2 turns/m; the continuous carbon fiber bundle is packed in from a bottom part of the aforementioned packaging container, through an upper end opening part, to every corner of said packaging container; and the mass (X) per unit area of the continuous carbon fiber bundle is at least 3.5 kg/m2, and the bulk density (Y) thereof is at least 170 kg/m3.
