To provide a carbonization apparatus that produces carbonized products while continuously feeding a material to be carbonized and continuously discharge the carbinized produced.

The continuous carbonization apparatus 1A is mainly composed of a first hopper 20a, a second hopper 20b, a hot wind generating furnace 30, a carbonizing machine 40, and a cooler 50. An inlet valve 26a and an outlet valve 29a of the first hopper 20a and an inlet valve 26b and an outlet valve 29b of the second hopper 20b are opened alternately to prevent air from entering the carbonizing machine 40. In the carbonizing machine 40, a feed screw conveyor 63 is installed in the upper part and a discharge screw conveyor 65 is installed in the lower part, so that when a material to be carbonized in which carbonization proceeds is discharged, the material to be carbonized is fed in the same amount as the discharged. The material to be carbonized discharged from the carbonizing machine 40 is conveyed to the cooler 50. Two valves for discharge 66a and 66b which are alternately open and close are installed in a screw conveyor 67 of the cooler 50 to block air entering the carbonizing machine 40.
