Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the carburizing technology capable of uniformly and speedily controlling a carburizing quantity of a steel strip by a simple equipment.
CONSTITUTION: In the continuous carburizing furnace consisting of a device to run a steel strip 3 in the furnace and a device to seal the inlet part/outlet part to the furnace of the steel strip 3, plural headers 1 having a nozzle are placed facing both front/rear faces of the steel strip running in the furnace. By injecting a carburizing gas on the steel strip's surface with the nozzles placed facing to the front/rear faces of the steel strip 3, the carburizing is executed.
