PURPOSE: To prevent the solidification of a molten metal in a pouring basin by providing heating mechanisms to side sealing plates.
CONSTITUTION: A rotary 1 and a belt 1A via rolls 11, 12, 13 are respectively synchronously rotated. The molten metal 4 is heated by heating means 21, 21 of the side sealing plates 2, 2 and is prevented from solidifying, when the molten metal 4 is supplied to a molten metal supply section 3. The molten metal is then introduced into a space 5 between the belt 1A and the rotary 1 and is cooled in the space 5. The cooled metal 4 is guided in the form of the thin metallic sheet 6 by a guide roll 14 and is drawn out by draw-out rolls 15, 15. The length l of the space 5 is set at the length enough to prevent the generation of breakout.
