Abstract:
To provide a continuous casting method for steel where sticking type breakout caused by the defect in the inflow of mold powder and its ununiform inflow is suppressed, simultaneously, mold level fluctuation caused by the bulging of a solidified shell is suppressed, and carbon steel and extra-low carbon steel having a carbon content of 0.07 mass% are stably cast into a slab at a casting speed of 2.5m/min or more.
Using mold powder having a basicity (mass%CaO/mass%SiO2) of 1.0 to 1.2, carbon steel and extra-low carbon steel having a carbon content of 0.07 mass% are cast into a slab at a casting speed of 2.5m/min or more.
