Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method which can obtain a sound cast slab having little center segregation without generating internal crack.
SOLUTION: In this steel continuous casting method, the cast slab containing unsolidified part is bulged and the rolling reduction is applied in the condition of 0.1-2.0 unsolidified part rolling reduction Lf expressed by the expression Lf=D1/D2, (wherein, D1 is the unsolidified part rolling reduction quantity (mm) and D2 is the cast slab thickness at the portion of ≤0.8 in a solid phase ratio at the time of applying the rolling reduction (mm).
