Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting mold capable of improving toughness, further improving thermal shock resistance and achieving even corrosion resistance and as a result, capable of achieving a long life of the mold, and a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: In a continuous casting mold having a surface roughened base plating layer 12 and sprayed coating 13 sequentially formed on the side of a molten steel contact surface, and a method for manufacturing the same, the sprayed coating 13 is formed by mixing a granular cermet material consisting of Co: 5 mass% or more and 15 mass% or less, Cr: 2 mass% or more and 6 mass% and the remainder WC and a granular Ni-Al alloy including Al of more than 0 and 8 mass% or less and spray-coating spray particles having Ni-Al alloy of 20 mass% or more and 60 mass% or less to the whole by a flame-spraying machine 14 to locate Ni-Al alloy in the grain boundary of the cermet material.
