PURPOSE: To prevent a material to be cleaned from being impaired and to improve a cleaning effect even when a large amount of materials to be cleaned are supplied simultaneously.

CONSTITUTION: This cleaner is equipped with a slender cleaning tub 1 at one terminal of which the throw-in port 2 of the material W to be cleaned is provided and arranged with inclination so that the throw-in port 2 can be positioned on the lower side and a discharge port 3 can be positioned on the upper side, a travel means arranged in the cleaning tub 1 and which sends the material W to be cleaned advancing from a throw-in port area to a discharge port area, and cleaning means 14, 15 which clean the material to be cleaned. Furthermore, the travel means is provided with a screw body 4 mounted rotatably freely on the cleaning tub 1 and a driving mechanism which drives the screw body 4, and the screw body 4 is provided with a belt shape fin 5 extending spirally along the longitudinal direction of the cleaning tub, a brushing member which brushes the material W to be cleaned mounted on the fin 5, and a central aperture 7 extending along the longitudinal direction in a center part.
