PURPOSE: To provide a continuous drying of dried items which can not be contacted and prevent an influence of stopped operation in a later step by a method wherein a specified number of dried items stored in a transporting jig are fed into a grooved chute within a drying furnace and moved, then the dried items are discharged from the chute with a discharging means while they are being continuously dried within the furnace.

CONSTITUTION: As jigs 8 are fed into a drying furnace 7, the jigs 8 are arranged within a grooved chute 13 together with dried items 5. Then, as the number of fed items reaches a predetermined number, a moving device 15 moves the chute 13 out of the furnace and at the same time moves the chute 13 to a feeding port position. Then, the chute 13 moved out of the furnace 7 stops at a position of a first discharging device 16, one of the dried items 5 within the chute 13 is discharged together with the jig 8 and then the item is transported to a subsequent step. In case of stopping operation in the subsequent step, the discharging, a charging of adhesive agent and a transportation of the item are stopped and this drying operation and moving operation are carried out until an approaching chute 13 to the discharging device 16 is moved to the discharging device 17.
