Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a continuous form printer and a recording medium in which the number of sheets can be set automatically such that the slack between printers becomes ideal for performing print operation in the next and subsequent auto-load.
SOLUTION: The continuous form printer comprises a means for auto-loading a preset number of sheets for a continuous form of a predetermined size, a means for counting the number of times of one sheet cutting operation through burst processing of a burster 2, a means for subtracting the number of times of one sheet cutting operation from the auto-loaded number of sheets to determine the number of sheets, a means for determining the length for the number of sheets as a basic auto-load length from the number of sheets and the sheet size, a means for calculating the number of sheets to be auto-loaded in the next and subsequent operations for each sheet size from the basic auto-load length and each sheet size, and a means for writing the number of sheets to be auto-loaded in the next and subsequent operations in a flash memory 35.
