Title:
CONTINUOUS IMPREGNATION OF NONWOVEN SHEET-LIKE FIBERS WITH PHENOLIC RESIN COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS627510
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable to easily and quickly impregnate fibers with resin in series production by a method wherein firstly resol type phenolic resin composition is supplied in layer under unpressurized state onto a carrier belt and secondly reinforcing fibers made in nonwoven sheet form are continuously supplied onto said resin composition layer so as to be pressed together with each other.

CONSTITUTION: A jig 3 is disposed in upright on the surface of a carrier belt 2A with a slit-like clearance S between the jig and the belt so as to supply highly viscous resol type phenolic resin 1 onto the carrier belt 2A in layer in unpressurized state by moving the carrier belt 2A along a supporting plate 2B in the direction indicated with the arrow X. After that, reinforcing fibers 4 made in nonwoven fabric form are continuously supplied so as to seat on the resol type phenolic resin composition 1 in a layer. Finally, the reinforcing fibers 4 are impregnated with the phenolic resin composition 1 in the layer by being pressed together with each other with a pressure roller 5.
