Abstract:
PURPOSE: To effectively utilize continuous operating performance for a long term by initializing an ordinary system information processor with a self initializing means and, afterwards, appointing the ordinary system information processor to a standby system.
CONSTITUTION: When any fault is generated at an ordinary system information processor 1, the fault is detected by a self diagnostic means 4, and fault information is reported through a communication path 3 to management processing 31 of a standby system information processor 2. The management processing 31 receives that report, moves processing 21 under processing at the ordinary system information processor 1 through the communication path 3 to the standby system information processor 2 and initializes the ordinary system information processor 1 by using a self initializing means 5a of this device 1 and when the ordinary system information processor 1 normally completes the processing, afterwards, the management processing 31 is started by appointing this information processor 1 to the standby system. When the initialization is failed, the operation of the ordinary system information processor 1 is stopped, and this ordinary system information processor 1 is disconnected from a system.
