Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continuously manufacture a strip of a rolled stainless steel sheet having the excellent surface condition by a single manufacturing line by treating the hot rolled stainless steel in a prescribed process.
SOLUTION: The strip is further ground before and/or after and/or during the initial pickling. Grinding is achieved by at least one brushing. After the straightening in the tensile condition, the strip is shot blasted to remove the scale. The strip is cold rolled with the draft of ≤60% in the case of the ferritic steel sheet strip. The strip is cold rolled with the draft of ≤50% in the case of the austenitic steel sheet strip. The final annealing of the steel sheet strip is achieved at the temperature of 800-1200°C under the oxidizing atmosphere. The skin pass type cold rolling of the strip is achieved to obtain 0.5-2% elongation after the cold rolling and the final annealing. After the final pickling and the skin pass type rolling, the strip is further straightened in the tensile condition. The edge part is trimmed by shearing.
