PURPOSE: To efficiently separate org. components by supplying a slurry consisting of an insoluble solid, a partially water soluble org. component and water to a distillation column provided with a contact device, heating this slurry and taking out the org. component vapor from the column top.
CONSTITUTION: The slurry contg. iron oxide, aniline and water is supplied through a supply line 5 to the distillation column 1 at a point 7 above or below the top of a packing material 2. The raw vapor or the like is supplied to the distillation column 1 via an injection line 12 at a suitable point below the packing material 2. an aniline-water mixture emanates from the distillation column through an overhead line 8 and thereafter this aniline-water mixture is condensed and is partially cooled in a condenser. The condensate is supplied through a line 9 to a sepn. tank 4 where the condensate is separated to an aq. phase and an aniline phase. The soluble impurities of the antiline phase are recovered in a recovering line 10 and thereafter, the aniline is separated and refined.
