Abstract:

PURPOSE: To continuously mold thin-walled carbon fiber reinforced plastic pipe by preventing fibers from buckling by a method wherein the titled pipe is continuously drawn by generating the drawing force of a second clamping mechanism before the disappearance of the drawing force of a first clamping mechanism.

CONSTITUTION: Firstly, when a first clamping mechanism 17A moves by the predetermined distance, the driving actuator 30B of a second clamping mechanism 17B is put into actuation so as to make the rate of movement of the second clamping mechanism 17B equal to that of the first clamping mechanism 17A. At that instant, a solenoid valve 31B is put into actuation to grasp a molded part 18B (not shown in fig.). Secondly, the rate of movement of the second clamping mechanism 17B is made a little larger than that of the first clamping mechanism 17A, resulting in gradually increasing the force applied to the second clamping mechanism 17B. Said force is detected by a strain gage 26B. Thirdly, when the detected force becomes nearly equal to the predetermined drawing force, the clamp of the first clamping mechanism 17A is released and its movement is stopped, resulting in making the shock given to the second clamping mechanism 17B extremely small. The generation of the drawing force of the one clamping mechanism before the disappearance of the drawing force of the other clamping mechanism can prevent fibers from buckling, resulting in enabling to continuously mold thin-walled carbon fiber reinforced plastic pipe.
